Josh Powell is a sick, sick man.
First of all. How can someone kill their spouse (or assist their father in the crime...) like its no big deal? Especially someone who married their spouse in the temple. You are sealed to that person for time and all eternity. How could you make such a commitment and then turn around and KILL them?? It disgusts me that Josh acted so nonchalant about the entire ordeal of his wife's disappearance. Sure, at the beginning, he was crying, but as time progressed, he didn't show anything at all. I, personally, would be hysterical from start to finish if my husband went missing.
Don't even get me started on his father. His father is an equally sick man. His father claims to have had sexual relations with Susan (Josh's wife), and that Susan initiated them because she "enjoyed doing that". Oh, he's also currently in jail for child porn charges. How disgusting can these men get?
And then he had to drag those sweet little boys into this.
For those of you who don't know (which is any of you outside of Utah or those who haven't watched the news tonight), the Powell sons were going to their father's house in Washington as part of a scheduled (and supervised) visit. The boys ran ahead of the social worker they were with. Their dad took them inside, blocked the social worker from coming in, and locked the door. The social worker then smelled gasoline, and minutes later, the house exploded.
Josh Powell killed himself and his two children.
WHAT PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD DO THAT???
Oh, that's right. He wasn't in his right mind.
On February 1st, Josh Powell had lost custody of his two boys, and they were ordered to go live with Susan's parents, at least until he underwent a psycho-sexual evaluation due to the explicit images found on his father's computer. Said evaluation would have included a polygraph test, and it is my personal opinion that one of the questions in that test would have been "did you kill your wife?"
So, he thought it was better to kill himself and his children than to go through the evaluation and to let his children live with their grandparents.
Once again, he is a sick, sick man.
One positive thing out of the events that took place today: Susan finally gets to see her two little boys.
The end.
