What I've Been Up To Since I've Been Home

Welp. I got home at about 10:30 last Wednesday night, and immediately went to sleep after packing, cleaning, loading up the car, and spending four hours (and then some) in said car.

Thursday, my dad woke me up at 7:00 to go weed the family garden (bleh). Later that day I STARTED WORKING!! Yes, you read that correctly, I now have a job. WOO!! After work I came home, watched TV, ate dinner, and read some Dan Bergstein 'Blogging Twilight' blogs with my sister.

Friday, my dad woke me up at 7:00 AGAIN to weed the garden. Bleh. After that I chilled at home and while I was eating lunch a bunch of cousins showed up! These cousins I haven't seen since last July, so it was exciting to see them again. After lunch I went to work again. When I came home, I watched TV (including Jimmy Fallon's 'Thank You Notes') and read some more 'Twilight' blogs.

Saturday, I went to Little Caesars where I filled out the paperwork to be their newest employee! Yes, I now have TWO jobs!! After filling out the paperwork I worked all day--from about 11 to 9:30. Boy, was it tiring. But, I'm making lots of money with this job, so its good. After that I came home and hung out with my cousins. 'Twas fun.

Sunday, I went to church. Sunday School and Relief Society lessons were bueno, but Sacrament was just...bleh. We didn't sing ANY pioneer songs, and the speaker was weird. I found out where my singles ward is (*Note to Bailee Paxman: My singles ward is your singles ward! Neat, huh?*), and will start attending that ward starting August Fast Sunday (I'll be out of town next Sunday). After church my family and I went to my aunt and uncle's house in American Fork for dinner. After dinner, we played a game called Werewolves (similar to Mafia). When I got tired of that (others still wanted to play), I jumped on the trampoline with my brother and two of my cousins. Then we watched fireworks (aerials are legal now!! Woo!!). One of the smaller aerials (they don't really go in the air) somehow landed on its side, so the "sparks" of sorts flew into a neighbor's bush and hit our car. The big aerial we saved for last felt like city fireworks. They were awesome.

Yesterday, I went to Walmart and got a laundry basket, a mirror, an iTunes gift card, 6-pack of donuts and a Diet Pepsi (the breakfast of champions, baby). After that, my family and I (minus my brother and dad) and my aunt and uncle and cousins went to This Is The Place Heritage Park (the place to be on Pioneer Day). After spending all day there, my family and I went to ride The Valley Journals' float for the Cottonwood Heights City Parade (which was fun...even if my aim and throw of the candy weren't that great). We came home and had floutas (basically taquitos) and pizole (soup), courtesy of my aunt Tamara and uncle Danny.

Today, I FINALLY did some unpacking. There's still more to do, unfortunately. That was basically an all day thing. Then I got ready for the day (at like 4 ha) and then Elder Simpson, a missionary that served in my ward about a year ago, and his companion came over for dinner before they both go home tomorrow. It was good to see him again, and I'm going to his homecoming on Sunday :) then I watched Toy Story 3 with my sister, and now I'm watching Whose Line Is It Anyway? with my brother :)

Have a good day :)

Changes Once More

Made changes yet again. This time because (thanks to my new Internet protection software) my blog background wasn't showing up. White screen with words got boring. So, I changed it, the font, the colors, and my header.

Enjoy :)

Sigh.

Guys have it so easy when it comes to dating. If they wish to go on a date with a girl on campus, all they have to do is look for a sliver of silver (or on the rare occasion, gold) on their ring finger. If there is no ring, then they just have to hope the girl isn't dating anyone.

Girls have to do the same thing to see if the guy is married. However, if there is no ring, then they have to hope the guy isn't engaged OR dating someone.

So, guys have it so much easier than girls do. The end.

Six Months.

Six months in my journal challenge = complete. Woot.

Defer.

de-fer
Verb: to put off (action, consideration, etc) to a future time.

As of right now, I will most likely be deferring my Fall semester at BYU-Idaho. Purpose for this? To save up money again. I have a job for the 7-week break (aka "summer vacation"), but that alone won't be able to help me pay for my tuition, books, rent, food, etc. I'm hoping I will be able to stay on for the entire time of my deferment, and I'm also hoping I will be able to find a second (possibly even third) job.

So, yeah. That's what's going on in my life.
